City school leaders Thursday night reviewed, but did not approve, an amended 2014-15 budget balanced with no additional city funding. The Board of Education decided to wait until a called meeting after a BMA meeting on June 17.

Ailshie had four out of seven votes on the BOE. The current BOE policy requires a super-majority — or five votes — to appoint a director. Board members came to Wednesday's meeting armed with a variety of legal opinions and ready for a fight.
