Man charged with assault in Kingsport hit-and-run

A man who allegedly triggered a Kingsport crash with an illegal U-turn — leaving a juvenile victim with injuries — has been arrested after dumping his vehicle and stripping the tags, but failing to remove personal information from inside the cab.

Man sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison for Greeneville carjacking

Dustin Watson, 31, of Knoxville, received the 115-month prison sentence on Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Greeneville. Watson, who pleaded guilty to carjacking in February, will also be on probation for three years following the prison stint.
