Golf coach accused of trying to have teens killed

A San Francisco Bay Area golf coach who was set to receive an award from the PGA before he was arrested and accused of molesting three boys tried to hire a hit man to have them killed, prosecutors said.

District Attorney Gen. Barry Staubus championed the bill, which allows criminal punishment for women who give birth to drug-addicted babies. Sullivan County accounts for 10 percent of all Tennessee babies born with neonatal abstinence syndrome.

Eric Aaron Byrd, 716 Melinda Ferry Road, Rogersville, was arraigned on three counts of inappropriate touching of a juvenile. The children's mother, Destiny Amber Seay, 507 Prices Grove Road, Rogersville, was arraigned for failure to report child abuse.
