Man who punched wife holding baby sentenced to 10 days

A Hawkins County man who punched his wife in the face Sunday while she was holding their baby because she refused to give him money was sentenced Monday to 10 days in jail in Hawkins County Sessions Court.

The suspected gunman in a Tuesday road rage incident on Interstate 81 was arrested shortly thereafter in Blountville, where he allegedly waved his firearm at a separate motorist and stopped traffic on Highway 11-W.
