Two Mississippi officers fatally shot; three suspects arrested

Two Mississippi police officers were shot to death during an evening traffic stop turned violent, a state law enforcement spokesman said Sunday. Three suspects were in custody, including two who are charged with capital murder.

The complaint states Robin Culp drove Horne to the Capital Bank location, parked at an apartment building across the street while Horne robbed the bank. The couple then went to Culp's house first and then to a friend's house in Kingsport.

On May 3, KPD officers responded to an armed robbery call at CVS Pharmacy on West Stone Drive. During the investigation, officers learned Fox had entered the store and presented a note saying he was armed and demanded prescription medication.

Victor Hill and Gwenevere McCord were the only two people inside a 3,800-square-foot home when McCord was shot in the abdomen. Hill called 911 to report the shooting, but refused to cooperate with officers called to the home Sunday night.
