Wrong-way I-26 crash nets woman 2nd DUI charge

A woman traveling east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 26 in Kingsport on Wednesday night — and in turn igniting a head-on collision with another vehicle — has been charged with multiple offenses including assault and DUI.

The victim, Winthrop Von-Seath, told police that Charles Campbell made threats to kill him with a gun, tried to hit him with a baseball bat and told him, "I'm going to beat your brains out." Campbell reportedly swung the bat at Von-Seath but missed.
