Police: Bomb squad destroys pressure cooker from suspicious D.C. vehicle

A bomb squad safely destroyed a pressure cooker found in a "suspicious" vehicle left unattended Sunday on the National Mall near the U.S. Capitol building and the vehicle's owner was located and arrested, a police spokeswoman said.

16 years for Dryden man in home invasion

A 19 year old Dryden man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 14 years suspended, for a home invasion robbery that occurred last Christmas Eve, according to Lee County Commonwealth's Attorney Stacy Estep Munsey.
