Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of any charges in the fatal shooting of unarmed Trayvon Martin, was charged Monday with aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief.

MOUNT CARMEL — An elderly Mount Carmel couple was bilked out of slightly more than $36,000 over the past month in what MCPD Chief Mike Campbell described as one of the most elaborate telephone sweepstakes scams he has encountered.
