CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) —One of the wounded students, a girl, was hospitalized in serious condition after confronting the gunman. The other student suffered minor injuries and was expected to be released from the hospital later Friday.

Washington sheriff says deputy stopped rape in progress after woman called 911 from cell phone

Carlos Enrique Alegria, 27, 204 Wilson Ave., was literally pulled off the woman by Washington County Deputy Darrell Collins. The call to 911 came in at 4 a.m. Dispatchers apparently heard what was happening and dispatched officers to the location.

ROGERSVILLE — On Aug. 15, James William Arthur allegedly handed a clerk at the Church Hill Food City pharmacy a note demanding various narcotic drugs. The note also stated that if he did not get all the pills on his list, “all pharmacy workers will die.”
