Sheriff's deputy says Telford man allowed three children to live in filth

A Telford man wanted on a driving charge was arrested Thursday, but with additional charges of child neglect after a sheriff's deputy found three children living in filth in his home, according to records.

ROGERSVILLE — A Church Hill woman who hid a stash of pills from police in her shorts during a DUI traffic stop this past June and later tried to dispose of more hidden pills in the jail toilet was sentenced to three years Thursday.

GATE CITY — Charlie Joe Ramey was given life in prison plus an additional 40-year sentence Wednesday by 30th Circuit Judge John Kilgore. A jury found Ramey guilty in March of felony murder, robbery and distribution of Schedule III drugs.
