When Keith Cunningham began his shift as the administrative lieutenant for the Sixth Precinct of the New York City Police Department the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 nothing hinted that, in less than two hours, tragedy would strike his city.

Two of the students are from Sullivan South, three attend Dobyns-Bennett, three are from Science Hill, one is home schooled in Sullivan County and one is home schooled from Johnson City.

ROGERSVILLE — A “pound puppy” was so attached to the Corvette that carried her home, mechanics had to remove the passenger seat to get her out of the car. She was the last of the 68 animals rescued from deplorable conditions in April to be adopted.
