BLOUNTVILLE — The 7-0 vote Monday night was based on the results of an online survey split 55.5 percent for that calendar to 44.5 percent for one starting later in August.

ROGERSVILLE — In the early years of Rogersville’s People Loving People (PLP) free Thanksgiving dinner, organizers were thrilled with the turnout if they got to serve 500 people. Over the past decade the event has grown substantially.

KINGSPORT — The “Christmas at Allandale Mansion” tours will be on Dec. 7 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 7 to 12 and children 6 and under are free.
