The study recommended against making it a four way stop because westbound traffic on Main Boulevard coming from Mount Carmel would "stack up" on that hill, creating a higher risk for a rear-end collisions.

Capt. William Armstrong III participated in four Revolutionary War battles and endured that famous winter at Valley Forge. But, since his death in 1835 there's been nothing at his Hawkins County grave to indicate his service to his country.
