Maxie Rodefer, BLOUNTVILLE

Maxie Rodefer, 85, of Blountville, passed away, Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2008) at Wexford House. Mrs. Rodefer was born May 6, 1923, in Sullivan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late, Martin Luther and Betty (Roller) Cain. She was a lifelong resident of Blountville and will be remembered as a loving mother and g r a n d m o t h e r. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on April 3, 1995; two sisters; seven brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her sons, Luther Rodefer and wife, Eattia Mae, Surgoinsville; daughters, Betty Rodefer, Kingsport, Mrs. Aubrey aStacya Price, Blountville, Mrs. Ralph aVelmaa Williams, East Bend, N.C.; special friends, Anna Hale, Blountville and Kaye Peters, Kingsport; along with several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cassidy United Methodist Church, Blountville with Pastors Robert Burlingham and Joe W. Byrd officiating.
