James Pendleton, Kingsport

James (Jim) Pendleton, 84, beloved husband and dad, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2009 following a brief illness. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport or anytime at the family residence at 420 Roan Street in Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Pastor Jerry Musick and Pastor Ralph Owens officiating. Entombment services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Hill Mausoleum with the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Gate City Post #265 and the Tennessee Army National Guard providing the military honors. The family will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home to go in procession to the Mausoleum. Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
