The Kingsport Times-News delivers copies of newspapers to area schools
throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. We invite individuals,
businesses and other organizations to join us in this worthwhile endeavor.

Benefits of Your Sponsorship
- Area teachers, students and parents are notified of your generous
support.
- Sponsors receive notice of the teachers/classrooms that they
are sponsoring for the current school year.
- Two full-page color ads appear in the Kingsport Times-News annually.
These ads acknowledge the generous contributions of our sponsors
to the educational programs in the area.
- Sponsors receive recognition at our annual teacher workshop.
- Diamond sponsors receive at least an eight page, educational
supplement on a topic of their choice. This valuable tabloid is
distributed once annually to all NIE classrooms.

professional educator to coordinate the program, training and inspiration
workshops for teachers, curriculum materials, classroom support, contests,
and other valuable resources!

Students who have regular access to newspapers score
higher on reading comprehension, geography, world knowledge, and
current events? In addition, teachers have reported improvements in classroom
participation, student motivation, initiative, and leadership.

for the school year. 100% of your sponsorship funds

Levels of Sponsorship
The cost of your sponsorship is determined as follows:
$0.15 per student copy
x 30 students per classroom
x 36 weeks of the school year
x number of classes
Silver Sponsor — one or two classes at costs of $162.00 or $324.00
Gold Sponsor — four classes at a cost of $648.00
Platinum Sponsor — 10 classes at a cost of $1,620.00
Diamond Sponsor — 25 classes at a cost
of $4,050.00
After we receive your commitment form, we will match your sponsorship with teachers
and schools who are enrolled in the NIE program. You may wish to request a school
or teacher and we will try to honor that request if possible. |
