Letters addressing current topics of interest should be sent to:
Letters should be approximately 300 words, are subject to abridgement, may only be signed by one individual, and must contain an address and phone number for verification. Letters must be entirely written for the Times-News and may not include material published on the Internet, nor do we accept form letters from campaigns or special interest groups, or those also sent to other media.
Thank-you and endorsement letters or those not addressing current issues publish Sundays in a Community Letters section. No more than one letter per month will be accepted from any contributor. Letters we believe exceptional will be awarded a star. Our daily editorial reflects the opinion of the newspaper.
