KINGSPORT - The 30th annual Hamlett-Dobson Farm Fest on Sunday afternoon included many of the original rustic 1850s farm games, food, crafts and frontier lifestyle demonstrations.
Children played in a pile of hay, and then made their way to the "Zucchini Boat" making area, where a hulled half of a gourd is transformed into a fine sailing vessel.
There was also a cake walk, doll making, potato sack races, and a hay ride, as well as a number of hands on crafts and demonstrations for visitors of all ages.
Snackers had their choice of fresh popped kettle corn, boiled corn of the cob, watermelon and cold lemonade to drink.comments powered by Disqus
