Castlewood High School's science department celebrated Earth Day 2014 on April 22 with several events at the school including sidewalk art by various classes and a faculty and staff breakfast promoting a paperless environment by encouraging participants to bring their own washable plate, fork and drinking vessel. Students and faculty donned Earth Day T-shirts for the event.
Environmental challenges including climate, lifestyles, limited natural resources and the importance of living responsibly are celebrated globally by over a billion people in more than 190 countries on Earth Day each year.
Earth Day 2014 encouraged communities to get involved by creating activities promoting sustainable technology, with a focus on forward-thinking public policies that can be used for a sustainable future. Education is the heart of Earth Day and the activities at Castlewood High School proved to be a fun education experience for all.comments powered by Disqus
