Allen Houser, American Patriots and Pastime packs supplies collected by Weber City Elementary students.
Students and staff at Weber City Elementary
School partnered with the non-profit group, American Patriots and Pastime,
Inc., to collect items to be sent to the Tennessee Army National Guard 's 269th
Military Police Company, stationed in Afghanistan.
On Wednesday, Allen Houser,
who is an American Patriots and Pastime, Inc. board member, picked up the items
students have brought to the school during the past several weeks. The items,
which range from health and beauty aids to snacks, will be boxed up on Friday
and mailed next week.
Houser estimates more than 100 boxes will be shipped to
the company's 92 service men and women. He hopes the shipment will arrive in
time for Memorial Day. To find out more about American Patriots and Pastime,
