Mackenzie Barry from the Knoxville Zoo gives students an up-close-and-personal look at a red tailed boa.
The Knoxville Zoomobile stopped at Kingsport's Lincoln Elementary School on Tuesday. Sponsored by the Lincoln Parent Teacher Organization, the event allowed students in grades pre-K through 5 to tour the interactive, science outreach program featuring live animals from the Knoxville Zoo.
Students learned about various
animal adaptations in the wild. Programs offered help teachers meet curriculum requirements in a memorable way and meet Tennessee standards.
The Zoomobile brings educational live-animal programs and other interactive science and conservation programs to schools, preschools, daycares, churches, summer camps, nursing homes, scout meetings, businesses, and more, presenting programs across East Tennessee and surrounding areas.
