This week's Scrapbook Showcase was submitted by Debra McCown. It features photos from 'Breakfast with Santa' at Heartwood: Southwest Virginia's Artisan Gateway.
When 7-year-old Emily Perdue saw Santa, her eyes lit up – and he gave her a big hug.
“She didn’t know we were coming; she just knew we were having a surprise today,” said special family friend Susan Ruble, who brought Emily to see Santa. “It’s just all kind of Christmas magic.”
Christmas magic was also alive Saturday for 3-year-old Erin Solley. Her mom, Tanya, said she loved how the family got to spend time visiting with Santa.
“It was fun that she got to have time to talk to him,” Solley said. “At the picture places, you don’t really have time to do that.”
More than 200 people turned out Saturday morning for breakfast with Santa at Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway, where guests enjoyed a breakfast of hoecakes and sausage and visited with Santa, who first mixed mingled with the crowd before taking a seat on the stage for photos.comments powered by Disqus
