This week's Scrapbook Showcase features a collection of photos submitted by Fred Mattingly capturing the scenic beauty of Lee and Scott counties in Southwest Virginia.
"Southwest Virginia has gorgeous scenery and friendly people. It was among the last parts of the state to be settled by the English, Germans and the Scots-Irish. A major route of migration to the region was the Wilderness Road continuing southwest through Virginia to Kentucky," Mattingly said.
