It will be held in conjunction with the Cruise-In on Friday evening, Oct. 13. Starting at 3 p.m. in the Hale Springs Inn Courtyard, teams will gather to cook and create their best chili recipe. Beginning at 5 p.m., the public is invited to taste samples from each participating team.
The charge is $5 for a bowl and spoon. A beer garden with live music will also be hosted during this time. Those sampling are invited to cast their vote for the People’s Choice award. Overall judging will begin at 5:30 p.m. and winners announced soon after.
