Quinn 35th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick (Marlene A. Zajic) Quinn of Gray, will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary June 28, 2010. The couple was married June 28, 1975, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Flushing, N.Y., with Rev. Milton Good officiating.Mr. Quinn retired from Long Island Railroad after 32 years of service. Mrs. Quinn retired from Stauffer Chemical Co. after 20 years of service.
Martin and Puckett engagement
Sarah Elizabeth Martin of Jonesborough, and Matthew Daniel Puckett of Kingsport, plan to be married in an open-church ceremony at 4 p.m., Aug. 7, 2010, at Highland Church of Christ, Gray.The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Lorraine Martin of Jonesborough, and the granddaughter of the late John and Wanda Martin, the late Marianne Fandle and Walter Fandle of Kingsport. She graduated from Daniel Boone High School.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Gilmer and Delores Puckett of Kingsport, and the grandson of Gilmer and Birdie of Kingsport. He graduated from Gate City High School.
Gentry and Willett marriage
Sallie Irene Willett of Kingsport, and Scott Anthony Gentry of Johnson City, were married April 24, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Kingsport. The Rev. Mitchell Whisnant officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony. Following the wedding ceremony a dinner reception was held at Allandale Mansion.The bride is the daughter of Meri K. Willett of Kingsport, and the late Paul M. Willett. She is the granddaughter of Lind P. Willett of Kingsport, the late James M. Willett, Arbie R. Kistner of Bristol, Va., and the late Harold D. Kistner. The bridegroom is the son of Paula Gentry of Amissville, Va., and Tim Gentry of Crownsville, Md. He is the grandson of the late Claude and Rita Counts, and the late Henry and Viola Gentry.The bride was escorted to the altar by her mother.Emily Willett, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Deborah Chapman, Rachel Ragland, Jamie Simmons, Rachel Kincaid and Sarah McMichael. Makenna Alvey, niece of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid. Alexa Alvey, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.Tim Gentry served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Wynn Alvey, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Allen Gentry, brother of the bridegroom; Bill Rambo; Adam Terry and Nathan Bays. Alex Gentry, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2002, and cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a degree in social work. At ETSU, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and Phi Alpha Honor Society. She received a master's degree in social work with honors from the University of Tennessee. She is employed as a clinical social worker in critical care at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville.The bridegroom graduated from Science Hill High School in 2000, and cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a degree in computer science. At ETSU, he was vice president and president of Sigma Chi fraternity and a member of several math and computer science honors programs. He is employed at Amentra, Tyson's Corner, Va.Following a wedding cruise to Saint Martin, Saint Thomas and Grand Turk, the couple resides in Knoxville.
Kinslow and Osborne marriage
Stephanie Danielle Osborne of Bozeman, Mont., formerly of Gray, Tenn., and Hugh David Kinslow of Livingston, Mont., were married April 17, 2010 at Glen Bruce Park, Kingsport. Dr. Aaron Jones officiated at the noon ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Bob and Janice "Ginger" Osborne of Gray, and the granddaughter of Carl and Clyde Gillenwater of Gate City, Va. The bridegroom is the son of Chris Kinslow of Miles City, Mont., and the late David Kinslow.The bridge was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father.Angela Cassell, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Carmel Hall was maid of honor. Whitney Crawford was bridesmaid.The bride graduated from Daniel Boone High School, Gray and the University of Tennessee, where she was active in the Baptist Student Ministries. She is employed by Delta Airlines in Seattle, Wash., and is a working actress.The bridegroom graduated from Park High School, Livingston, Mont., and Montana State University, Bozeman. He is employed by Luxiotica in Federal Way, Wash., and is a working actor. He is on the board of The Blue Slipper Theatre in Livingston.Following a wedding trip to Vieques, Puerto Rico, the couple resides in Federal Way, Wash.
Compton and McMurray engagement
