All friends and family are invited to attend. Your presence is the only gift requested.Margaret was married to Joe K. Light for 43 years until his death in 1989. She worked at Eastman for seven years before leaving to become a homemaker.She is the mother of Sandra L. (the Rev. Billy) Gragg of Greeneville, Tenn., and Rita L. (the Rev. David) Powers of Kingsport. She is the grandmother of the Rev. Anthony M. (Lori) Gragg of Kingsport, Angela G. Anderson of Huntersville, N.C., and Sabrina P. (the Rev. Tim) Price of Church Hill. She is the great-grandmother of Kayla and Tyler Gragg; Lofton, Chloe and Emma Anderson; and Aaron Price.
Ruth Shelton 100th birthday
Ruth Shelton celebrated her 100th birthday with a reception held in her honor June 24, 2010, at Brookhaven Nursing Home.The event was hosted by her family.Mrs. Shelton was born June 24, 1910, in Twin Springs, Va. She was married to Hamilton Shelton, now deceased, for more than 40 years.She is the mother of Joe Shelton of Kingsport, and Hobert Shelton of Shallowater, Texas.She has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.She was employed in the cafeteria at West View School. She is a member of West View Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ray (Bobbie Jo Dingus) Sanders of Fort Blackmore, Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open reception held in their honor Aug. 7, 2010, at Pendleton's Fellowship Hall.The event was hosted by their family.The couple was married Aug. 20, 1960, at the Scott County Courthouse.They are the parents of Robert Sanders and wife Sonia of Fort Blackmore; Richard Sanders and wife Paula of Mount Carmel; Kevin Sanders and wife Melissa of Duffield, Va., and Julie Gibson and husband Keith of Fort Blackmore. They are the grandparents of Tanaya Sanders, Miranda Sanders, Raysha Sanders, Ashleigh Sanders, Amanda Sanders, Kendra Gibson, Kristin Sanders, Katelyn Sanders, Emily Sanders and Chloe Gibson. They are the great-grandparents of Aden Sanders and Kylie Qualls.Mr. Sanders is self-employed. Mrs. Sanders retired from Scott County School System.
Poe 50th wedding anniversary
Albert James and Doris Jane (Bolton) Poe of Kingsport celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2010, at an outdoor luncheon at beautiful Barnsley Gardens Resort, Adairsville, Ga. More than 30 family members were in attendance.The event was hosted by their children, Julie and Ron Bennett of Kingsport, and Jeannine Yates of Hiram, Ga., as well as their grandchildren, Elizabeth Yates, Michael Bennett, Rachel Bennett and Conner Yates.The couple was married on June 18, 1960, at Ketron Memorial Methodist Church in Lynn Garden, with the Rev. Dean M. Neese presiding.Mr. Poe retired in 1999 from Eastman Chemical Company, Kingsport. Mrs. Poe retired from Kingsport City Schools in 1994.
