Kristen Danielle Winstead of Surgoinsville, Tenn., and Wallace McClure Boyd III of Kingsport, Tenn., plan to be married at 3 p.m., Oct. 2, 2010 at Cornerstone Church, Johnson City, Tenn.The bride-elect is the daughter of Dan and Sharon Winstead of Surgoinsville, and the granddaughter of Kenneth and Evelyn Henderson of Surgoinsville, and Virginia Winstead of Rogersville, Tenn. She graduated in 2007 from Volunteer High School, where she was a member of Key Club, Beta Club and the softball team. She will graduate in December 2010 from East Tennessee State University with a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi National Honors Society in Education and STEA. She also is a member of Cornerstone Church.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Wallace, Jr. and Jan Boyd of Kingsport, and the grandson of Patrick and Mildred Miller of Kingsport, and the late Wallace, Sr. and Nettie Boyd. He graduated in 2002 from Dobyns-Bennett High School, where he was a member of the band and basketball team as well as the drummer for the local band North Fork Switchgrass. He graduated from James Madison University in 2006 with a degree in history. He is employed by Eastman Credit Union and is a member of Cornerstone Church, where he plays drums for the praise team.

Charles Burton officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mary and Lee Partin of Kingsport. The bridegroom is the son of Stephen and Mary Beth Rust of California, Ky.The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.Stephanie Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, was maid of honor. They plan to be married in a private wedding ceremony in Johnson City on Sept. 25, 2010.
