She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School, where she was a member of the National Forensics League and the National Honor Society.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Kathleen and Bart McConnell of Gate City, Va., and the grandson of George and Hazel Foxworth of Orangeburg, and George and Laura Jean Edenfield of Hampton, S.C. He graduated from Spaulding High School, Griffin, Ga., where he was a member of the Spaulding Jaguars.

Ministers Hobbie McCreary, father of the bride, and Greg Davis, father of the bridegroom, officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Hobbie and Kathy McCreary of Fall Branch, and the granddaughter of Leonard and Christine Gardner of Fall Branch, and Hobert and Thelma McCreary of Jacksboro, Tenn. He will receive an accounting degree from East Tennessee State University in May 2011. He is employed with Lowe's. Following a wedding cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple resides in Jonesborough.
