Caroline Marshall Baarcke and Bryan Arthur Wyker, both of Charlotte, N.C., were married Nov. 13, 2010, at Grace Episcopal Church, Charleston, S.C. The Rev. Canon J. Michael A. Wright performed at the 6:30 p.m. ceremony. Music for the ceremony was provided by Dr. Scott Bennett. A reception followed at The Carolina Yacht Club.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frederick Baarcke Jr. of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis Green, formerly of Rock Hill, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frederick Baarcke, formerly of Union, S.C. She is a graduate of Porter-Gaud School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Wofford College. She is employed by UBS Financial Services.The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Townsend Wyker of Kingsport, and the grandson of Mrs. Richard David Brockman of Kingsport, the late Mr. Brockman, Dr. Arthur William Wyker Jr. of Charlottesville, Va., and the late Mrs. Wyker. He is a graduate of The McCallie School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Virginia. He is employed as a commercial real estate broker with The Providence Group.Mary Neill Hagood was maid of honor, and Mary Cutler Baarcke, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. Bride's attendants were Martha Lilla Bratton, Julia Darling Gore, Timmons Hipp Hendricks, Jean Matthews McDowell, Chauncey Brooks Regan, Frances Cloud Webster and Sara Jones Whitfield.Best man was the bridegroom's father. The couple will honeymoon in Virgin Gorda and will reside in Charlotte.

Phillips and Ebling engagement announcement
Bill and Rosemary Phillips of Kingsport are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Hillary Anne Phillips to Michael David Ebling, son of Paula Ebling of Gainesville, Fla., and the late David Ebling, formerly of Gainesville, Fla.The bride-elect graduated with honors from Sullivan South High School in 2007, where she was president of the band and a Student Council officer. She is a senior at East Tennessee State University, where she is pursuing a biology major and a German minor. She is an active member in the American Medical Student Association and in President's Pride. She is the granddaughter of Harold Alspaugh of Magnolia, Ark.; the late Joyce Alspaugh, formerly of Magnolia, Ark.; and the late Ken and Virginia Phillips, both formerly of Kingsport.The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Gainesville High School, Gainesville, Fla., in 2006, where he was a National Merit Commended Scholar. He graduated summa cum laude from Sewanee University in May 2010, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is earning a master of arts degree in teaching at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, Nashville. He is the grandson of Paul Ebling of Gainesville, Fla.; the late Pauline Ebling, formerly of Gainesville; and the late Walter and Jane Whidden, both formerly of Gainesville.The couple plans to be married in a May 2011 garden ceremony in the Great Smoky Mountains.
