Cheyenne Signey Johnson of Kingsport, and Christopher Brian Ferrell of Blountville, were married May 22, 2010, at the Carnegie Hotel, Johnson City. The Rev. David Salley officiated at the 3 p.m., outdoor ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Shawna Smith of Kingsport, and Randy Johnson of Kingsport. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Barbara Wilmoth of Kingsport, and Hershel and Brenda Kerney of Kingsport. The bridegroom is the son of Debbie Tolbert of Blountville, and Chris Ferrell of Church Hill. He is the grandson of Bill and Brenda Turner of Kingsport, and the late Jim and Evelyn Ferrell.The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.Anabeth Grizzle, best friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kylee Tolbert, sister of the bridegroom; Chelsie West and Tasha Harris. Brandon Ferrell, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Tolbert, brother of the bridegroom; Jason Miles and Tyler Bailey. Ushers were Seth Williams and Curtis Crawford.The bride graduated from Sullivan North High School and is attending East Tennessee State University, pursuing a degree in nursing. She is employed at Tomoko Restaurant, Kingsport.The bridegroom graduated from Sullivan Central High School and attends Northeast State Community College, pursuing a degree in cardiovascular technology. He is employed at Tomoko Restaurant, Kingsport.Following a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple resides in Blountville.
Jones and Babel engagement announcement
Kirk and Donna Jones announce the engagement of their daughter, Krista Marie, to Andrew John "A.J." Babel, son of John and Sandy Babel, and Dwight and Gwen Scott.The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Sullivan South High School and a 2010 graduate of East Tennessee State University, where she received a bachelor of business administration degree in accountancy. She was a member of Campus Crusade for Christ ministry, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and the honor societies Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. She is pursuing a master of accountancy degree at ETSU. She is the granddaughter of Donald and Patricia Wolford of Kingsport, Glenn and Tonette Jones of Erwin, and the late Betty Jones.Her fiance is a 2006 graduate of Science Hill High School and 2010 graduate of East Tennessee State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree in accountancy. He also was a member of Campus Crusade for Christ ministry, and the honor societies Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. He is employed by State of Franklin Healthcare Associates. He is the grandson of Billie Mays of Franklin, Ind.; the late Robert Mays; and the late Chester and Betty Babel, formerly of Akron, N.Y.A.J. and Krista are members of Christ Community Church, Johnson City. They plan to be married in a private wedding ceremony in Johnson City on Sept. 25, 2010.

He is a 2000 graduate of David Crockett High School and is employed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Johnson City.

Lauren Beth Crawford of Fall Branch, and Joseph Richard Misciagna of Kingsport, plan to be married at 5 p.m., Oct. 9, 2010, at the Oaks Castle, Johnson City.The bride-elect is the daughter of Gale and Carol Crawford of Fall Branch, and the granddaughter of Juanita Sams, the late James Sams, Bill Crawford and the late Juanita Crawford. Lauren graduated from Sullivan South High School, attended King College and has completed the cardiovascular program at Northeast State Community College.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Mike and Enza Misciagna of Kingsport, and the grandson of Joseph and Dora Misciagna, and the late Joseph and Angela Mattera. Joey graduated from Sullivan South High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed in England. After their marriage, the couple will reside in Minot, N.D.
Fred Hensley 90th birthday
Fred Hensley celebrated his 90th birthday with a party at Gardner Farm on the Holston River, June 19, 2010, with family and friends.He is the father of Ralph Hensley and Gary Hensley.Fred is a World War II veteran and a graduate of Hiltons High School.Fred would like to thank God for giving him 90 years and may this be the best birthday of all and may many follow.
