Annette Maria Francis of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Joel Kenneth Coffey of Kingsport, Tenn., were married Oct. 10, 2010, at Vernon Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Anslin officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Gary and Ruth Hyatt of Jonesborough, and the granddaughter of the late Raymond and Marie Mitchell and the late Tom and Pearl Hyatt, all formerly of Jonesborough. The bridegroom is the son of Vester and Shirley Coffey of Kingsport, and the grandson of the late Early Coffey, formerly of Globe, N.C.; Paul and Margie Cox of Kingsport, and the late Lester and Julia Gragg, formerly of Collettsville, N.C.The bride was escorted to the altar by her son, Dakota Francis.The bride is employed at State of Franklin Healthcare. The bridegroom is employed at Tele-Optics.Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Jonesborough.
Drain and Rogers marriage announcement
Jasmine Stanetta Rogers of Gate City, Va., and Harold Marcus Drain of Birmingham, Ala., were married Aug. 7, 2010, in an open-church ceremony at First Baptist Church, Kingsport. The Rev. Jeff DeBoard officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Ruby Rogers of Gate City, and the granddaughter of Julia B. Wolfe of Gate City, the late Rufus Wolfe Jr., Ola B. Rogers of Gate City, and the late George "Dottie" Rogers. The bridegroom is the son of Harold and Margaret Drain of Midland, Ga., and the grandson of the late Comer and Iona Drain, and the late James and Willie Pearl Schley.The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, who sang a special solo following her entrance into the sanctuary.The bride wore a champagne-colored, sleek satin gown with Swarovski crystals and crystal sequins, and silver beadwork and embroidery. Designed with a heart-shaped neckline, the gown also had a fit and flare silhouette and beaded buttons ending at the embellishment on the train.Stacie Jenkins, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Marcia Hart, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tanya Webb, sister of the bridegroom; Kisha Cutler, cousin of the bride; and Jessica Barnett, Sara McMurray, Brooklyn Sawyers, Jasmine Roberts and Angela Williams, all friends of the bride. Honorary bridesmaids were Amanda Moody, Natisha Griffis, Kimberly Moore, Michelle Harding and Keverne Frasier, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were AlesSandra Hale, cousin of the bride, and Victoria Webb, niece of the bridegroom.Torrey Leonard, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Deontrey Webb, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Jaylen Webb, nephew of the bridegroom; Daryl Brown, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; C.G. McBride, cousin of the bridegroom; Christopher Hale, cousin of the bride, and Charles Baugh, Brent Nelson and Carl Morris, all friends of the bridegroom. Alonzo Cutler, cousin of the bride, served as usher, and Marcus Spriggs, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.Tayla Smith and Latoya Howell, both cousins of the bride, served as guest book attendants. Wedding vocalists included Sandra Hale, aunt of the bride; Amanda Moody, friend of the bride; Marcus and Christie Smith and Ashley Jenkins, all friends of the family. Susan Hoover, minister of music, First Baptist Kingsport, served as the organist. The wedding was directed by Betty Casey, member services coordinator, First Baptist, Kingsport. Hope Bright served as the wedding planner.A reception was held at Allandale Mansion, Kingsport, following the wedding ceremony.The bride received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. She is employed as an attorney with the law firm of Childs & Halligan, P.A., Columbia, S.C.The bridegroom received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Auburn University and a master's degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business. He is employed as an engineer at Anderson Flooring, Clinton, S.C.Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Columbia, S.C.
