Van and Betty Kincheloe of Church Hill will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open reception to be held in their honor from 2 to 4 p.m., April 9, 2011 at Holston Electric, Church Hill.The event is being hosted by their children.The couple was married April 8, 1961, in Gate City, Va. They are the parents of Mark Kincheloe, Sharon Bellamy and Debbie Morelock. They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.The presence of family and friends is the only gift requested.

Pearl H. Fowler celebrated her 100th birthday with a reception held in her honor on March 26, 2011, at East Stone Gap United Methodist Church.The event was hosted by Mary Faye Cole and Dorothy Bishop.Ms. Fowler was born March 29, 1911, in Imboden, Va. She was married to W.I. "Cotton" Fowler, now deceased, for 45 years.She is the mother of Mary Faye Cole of Big Stone Gap, Va., Dorothy Bishop of Duffield, Va., and Wendell Fowler of Big Stone Gap. She is the grandmother of Dawn Hoffman, Tracy Buckles, Jason Bishop, Michelle Stewart, Kevin Fowler, Jason Fowler and Aaron Fowler. She is the great-grandmother of Cole Stewart, Celia Stewart and Erin Fowler.She was employed at Monte Vista Hotel, Big Stone Gap. She loves to watch football, especially Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.
Edna Francisco Lloyd 95th birthday
Edna Francisco Lloyd celebrated her 95th birthday March 13, 2011, with family and friends at Allandale Mansion.She was born March 17, 1916. She is the widow of James W. Lloyd. She is the mother of Carolyn King, Dot Barker, Donna Sexton and Doug Lloyd. She has nine grand-children and nine great-grand-children.
Roller 65th wedding anniversary
The Rev. and Mrs. Homer C. (Doshia M. Baker) Roller of Kingsport, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary March 19, 2011, at the home of Danny and Karen Hensley of Morristown. The event was hosted by their children, with a great day of family fellowship and ending with an evening at Carter Fold. A highlight of the afternoon was opening many cards and sharing memories.The couple was married March 23, 1946, at Methodist Church Parsonage, Harlan, Ky., with the Rev. A.R. Perkins officiating.They are the parents of Karen and husband the Rev. Danny Hensley of Morristown, and Linda and husband James Childress of Kingsport.They are the grandparents of Hannah Sheard, Nathan Hensley, Sarah Mehta, Israel Childress and Mariah Childress. They have three great-grandchildren.Mr. Roller was a minister in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church, from which he retired. Mrs. Roller was a teacher in Greene County, Washington County and Bluefield, Va., school systems, and retired from the Greene County School System.
Cook and Jones marriage announcement

Mayor Dennis Phillips officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.The bride the granddaughter of Earl and Shirley Grindstaff of Elizabethton, and the daughter of Bob and Becky Jones of Gray. The bridegroom is the son of John Cook of Page, Ariz., and Marjorie Cook of Cortez, Colo.The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather and father.Matrons of honor were Keely Goodwin and Mikki Hale. Bridal attendants were Alex Clark, Jorie Sullivan, Veronica Guidi-Louviere, Morgan Lamb, Katie Cunningham, Ashley Dukart, Erin Clark, Haley Clark and Celin Alvarado. Kennon Cook was flower girl.John Cook served as best man. Groomsmen were Darrell Duncan and Ken Jarnagin. Bridegroom attendants were Ross Noe and Matt Carter. Morgan Cook was ring bearer.Musicians were students and alumni from the Dobyns-Bennett High School Band.The bride is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at East Tennessee State University, where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees and was a member of Roan Scholars Leadership Program. She is employed as a graduate assistant at ETSU's Center for Appalachian Studies and Services and as staff with Dobyns-Bennett High School Band. The bridegroom is the director of the Dobyns-Bennett High School Band and is a member of the Tennessee Music Educators Association, American Bandmasters' Association and the State Band Chair.Following a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple resides in Kingsport.
