McQueen 50th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. W.H. (Janelle Hodge) McQueen Jr. of Kingsport, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open reception to be held in their honor from 1 to 4 p.m., Nov. 6, 2010, at Allandale Mansion.The event is being hosted by Liz, Mike and Stacy McQueen.The couple was married Nov. 5, 1960.They are the parents of Liz McQueen of Kingsport, Mike McQueen and wife Kelly McQueen, and Stacy McQueen and wife Christina McQueen.They are the grandparents of Kerri McQueen, Katie McQueen, Kevin McQueen and Madison McQueen.Mr. McQueen worked for Mason Dixon and the Sullivan County Highway Department before retiring in 1998.Mrs. McQueen retired from Kingsport City School System and is employed at Saslow's Jewelers at Kingsport Town Center.
Wolfe and Guest marriage announcement
Dr. Meaghan Elyce Guest of Kingsport, and Andrew Taylor Wolfe of Kingsport, were married Aug. 29, 2010, at The Cloister, Sea Island, Ga. The Rev. James Wolfe, brother of the bridegroom, officiated at the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Guest of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Charlene Rowland of Kingsport, the late Douglas Rowland, and the late Malee and Charles Dana Guest Jr., formerly of Pine Bluff, Ark. The bridegroom is the son of Berniece and Tom Wolfe of Kingsport, and the grandson of Ethel Hale of Kingsport, the late Noel Hale and the late Otho and Grace Wolfe, formerly of Kingsport.Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore an ivory-colored Vera Wang organza gown with ivory-colored satin binding. The strapless gown featured Vera Wang-styled satin bows down the back with a chapel-length train.Attendants of the bride were Jennifer Harrison Guest, sister-in-law of the bride; Tonya Holt Guest, sister-in-law of the bride; and Gail Jenkins Underwood, sister of the bridegroom. Junior attendants were Jordan Guest and McKenzie Guest, nieces of the bride. Camryn Guest, niece of the bride, was flower girl.Attendants of the bridegroom were Chad Guest, brother of the bride; Chet Guest, brother of the bride; and Tom Wolfe Jr., brother of the bridegroom. Carson Guest, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School, Furman University, and the Medical University of South Carolina, with a doctorate of dental medicine. She practices dentistry at Drs. Guest, Guest and Guest Dental Office, Chestnut Grove Office Park.The bridegroom graduated from Sullivan North High School and Northeast State. He is a lumber broker with U.S. Lumber.Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple resides in Kingsport.

He is employed at Southeast Diesel Inc., Chattanooga.Following a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Chattanooga.

She graduated from Volunteer High School in 2004 and received a degree in accounting from East Tennessee State University in 2008 and a master of business administration degree from King College in 2010. At ETSU, she was a member of Delta Sigma Pi. She is employed as a consultant at CGI Federal, Lebanon, Va.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of the late David and Kay Lyon, formerly of Kingsport. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Eula Cooper, formerly of Kingsport; the late Paul Lyon, formerly of Kingsport, and Dolphine Lyon of Kingsport. He graduated in 2001 from Dobyns-Bennett High School, where he was a member of the D-B Marching Band. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of The Pride of Southland Marching Band and Phi Mu Alpha. He is self-employed as a lighting and energy management consultant and is a member of Vermont United Methodist Church.

McKenna, formerly of Lynbrook, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of the late Madeline and Chester Laurino, formerly of Amityville, N.Y., and the late Margaret and John P. McKenna, formerly of Massapequa, N.Y. The bridegroom is the son of Ellen H. and James D. Finney of Kingsport, and the grandson of the late Mary B. and Wayman E. Hillis, formerly of McMinnville, Tenn., and the late Blanche V. and Henry M. Finney, formerly of Louisville, Ky.The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
