Katherine Elizabeth Steffner of Johnson City, Tenn., and James Aaron Steffen of Kingsport, Tenn., plan to be married in a private ceremony at 2 p.m., May 18, 2013, at State Street United Methodist Church, Bristol, Va.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ed and Pam Steffner of Johnson City, and the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward and Charlotte Steffner, formerly of Johnson City, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Erma Crum of Jonesborough. She graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 2011 with a bachelors degree in accounting. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is currently a student at Appalachian School of Law, Grundy, Va.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Jim and Michele Steffen of Kingsport, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Wanda Steffen, formerly of Yeagertown, Pa., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron and Christine Elmore, formerly of Hampton, Va. He graduated magna cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 2010 with a bachelors degree in accounting and finance. He is employed by Dent K. Burk Associates, P.C., Bristol, Va., as a certified public accountant. He is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
