Kimberly Marie Ankabrandt of Kingsport, and Nathan Robert Logan Rogers of Kingsport were married Feb. 20, 2010 at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. A. Clark Jenkins officiated at the 1:30 p.m., ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Ankabrandt of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Don and Faye Ankabrandt of Boiling Springs, Pa., and the late Dean and E. Virginia Young man. The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Angel Rogers of Kingsport, and the grandson of Maxie Hood of Kingsport, the late Nathan P. Hood, Harold Rogers of Kingsport and the late Jerry Rogers.Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a satin and organza A-line gown with a side-draped bodice and beaded pink metal embroidery. The gown extended into a chapel-length train.Karen Ankabrandt of Kingsport was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ethne Brown of Boiling Springs, Pa.; Laura Jones of Kingsport; and Casey Lowrance of Chattanooga, Tenn.Trey Lowrance of Chattanooga served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Ankabrandt of Kingsport; Tim Rhea of Bristol, Va.; and Andy Young of Bristol, Tenn. Matt Hall of Kingsport was usher. Ring bearers were Cade and Coen Lowrance, nephews of the bridegroom, of Chattanooga.A reception was held at Americourt Hotel, Kingsport.The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and East Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Alpha Psi Omega national theatre honor society.The bridegroom was a home school graduate and graduated from Northeast State Community College and King College. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Kingsport.
