Crawford and Edwards marriage announcement

Rebekah Hope Edwards and Andrew Charles Crawford were married June 5, 2010, at Corey Ippolito Vineyards, Blountville, Tenn. Dr. Reggie Weems and the Rev. Charles Ray Edwards officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Charles R. Edwards and Sheila Edwards of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of James and Myrtle Osborne, Otis and the late Barbara McGhee, and Charles and Betty Edwards, all of Kingsport. The bridegroom is the son of John and Brenda Crawford of Hiltons, Va., and the grandson of Betty Gibson of Gate City, Va., and the late Enoch and Ora Crawford.The bride wore a white, strapless chiffon gown with an empire waist, accented with hand-beaded lace and ruching detail on the bodice. The back of the gown was beaded with lace from the bodice to the hem. The gown had a chapel-length train.Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her twin sister, Amanda Dunham, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Valk Claman, Jessica Feathers, and Cayla Byrne. Flower girls were Maddy and Katie Hale, nieces of the bridegroom. John Crawford served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Austin Taylor, Ryan Brickey and Matthew Dunham. Justin Dunham served as an usher. Ring bearer was Conner Dunham, nephew of the bride. Rachel Turner was keeper of the bride's book.A dinner and dancing reception was held on the grounds of the vineyard following the ceremony.The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and from East Tennessee State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in early childhood education with cum laude honors. She is a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Johnson City.The bridegroom graduated from Gate City High School and East Tennessee State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in computer science with cum laude honors. He is employed as the software developer for Xelex Digital in Johnson City. He is a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Johnson City.Following a trip to Savannah, Ga., and Jekyll Island, Ga., the newlyweds reside in Johnson City.
