Byington and Maddux wedding

Lindsay Pauline Maddux of Kingsport, and Matthew Alan Byington of Kingsport, were married Dec. 5, 2009, at Sullivan Baptist Church, Kingsport. The Rev. Jesse Wooten officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Renaissance Center.The bride is the daughter of Judy Maddux of Kingsport, and Stone Maddux of Kingsport. She is the granddaughter of the late Ralph and Estelle Hensley, and the late Jim and Delores Maddux. The bridegroom is the son of Randy and Pam Byington of Kingsport, and the grandson of Blanche and Clarence Huckaby, the late Philip Cates, and the late Fred and Gladys Byington.Allison Wooten, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Jenny Myers was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Byington, sister of the bridegroom; Blair Bell; Amy Carmack and Whitney Chinery. Flower girls were Brylee Pennington and Brie Hall.Randy Byington served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Dunham, Michael Mckee, Chad Smith, Adam Free and Philip Cates, cousin of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Daniel and Joshua Wooten, cousins of the bride. The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2005 and will graduate in December from East Tennessee State University with a degree in criminal justice. She is employed at Cave's Drug Store, Kingsport.The bridegroom graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2002, and received a degree in business administration from King College in 2008. He is employed at Eastman Chemical Co.Following a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, the couple resides in Kingsport.
