Rebecca Marie Schilling of Church Hill, and Benjamin Tate Blalock of Kingsport, were married June 28, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Kingsport. The Rev. Steven Spratlin officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Schilling and the granddaughter of Einar Andresen, the late Ruth Andresen and the late Dr. and Mrs. Erwin Schilling. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Blalock and the grandson of Roger Merritt, the late Joanne Merritt, the late Ann R. Merritt and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jack Blalock.
The bride was given in marriage and escorted to the altar by her father.
Cidney Hayel was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Schilling, Leslie Blair and Emily Blalock. Flower girls were Alice and Leah Schilling.
William Blalock served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Fritz, John Frary and Danny Hanie. Ushers were Jonathan and Daniel Schilling. Wyatt Schilling was ring bearer.
The bride graduated from East Tennessee State University. She is employed at First Broad Street United Methodist Church, Kingsport, and is a member of First Baptist Church, Kingsport.
The bridegroom graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is employed at Canteen Vending Services and is a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
Following a wedding trip to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the couple resides in Kingsport.
