Shaina Kaye Donihe of Kingsport, and Michael Neil Patrick Brown of Kingsport, were married May 17, 2014, at West View Baptist Church. Pastor Larry Mike Stout officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Sandra Donihe of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of the late John and Mable Donihe and the late Margie and Howard Stone, all formerly of Kingsport. The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Sylvia Brown of Kingsport, and the grandson of Herbert and Mary Lewis of Kingsport, and the late Robert and Helen Brown, formerly of Kingsport.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a fit and flare sleek satin gown adorned with Swarovski crystals, sequins, silver beadwork and embroidery.
Kendra Marshall of Kingsport was matron of honor. Sydney Bryan of Gray was maid of honor. Charlotte Seals of Jonesborough was flower girl.
Graham Coleman of Kingsport served as best man. Michael Borders of Johnson City was groomsman. Ushers were Jonathan Jones of Knoxville and Justin Marshall of Kingsport. Matthew Roberts of Newport News, Va., was ring bearer.
An evening reception featuring dinner and dancing was held at BANQ in downtown Kingsport.
The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2009 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in December of 2013. She is employed as a registered nurse at Johnson City Medical Center.
The bridegroom graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2010 and plans to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in December. He is employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he is currently participating in an internship.
Following a wedding trip to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Knoxville.
