Arminda Jane Bowlin of Johnson City, and Brian Adam Joseph of Johnson City, were married May 15, 2010, at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Andrew Amodei officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of James and Jane Bowlin of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of the late Audley and Wave Fraley, formerly of Duffield, Va., and the late Robert and Bonnie Bowlin, formerly of Morristown, Tenn. The bridegroom is the son of Phyllis and Colin Brelsford of Clarksville, Tenn., and John Joseph and Lynne Berry of Nashville. He is the grandson of George and Eleanor Joseph of Port Charlotte, Fla.Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore an ivory-colored satin gown featuring a gathered sweetheart neckline and bodice adorned with Swarovski crystals and sequins. The waist was embellished with a pleated champagne-colored silk band, while delicate embroidery covered the soft netting of the skirt that extended into a chapel-length train. The bride carried a bouquet of small creamy orchids, Esckimo roses and yellow freesia. Maids of honor were Georgia L. Sinko of Kingsport, and Stephanie E. Carriger of Kingsport. Bridesmaids were Audrey C. Capps of Johnson City; Elizabeth C. Miller of Gray, and Jennifer O. Shelton of Knoxville. Flower girls were Emily J. Clark and Olivia J. Clark, cousins of the bridegroom, of Powell, Tenn.Best men were Benjamin S. Joseph, brother of the bridegroom, of Tulsa, Okla., and Charles L. Norris of Crossville, Tenn., Groomsmen were Michael C. Overton of Johnson City; Joshua Maples of Knoxville, and Bryan J. Norkus of Johnson City. Ushers were Justin A. Barnhill of Spruce Pine, N.C.; Ian R. Steidle of Johnson City, and Steven L. Widner of Johnson City. Josiah E. Susong, cousin of the bride, of Russellville, Tenn., was ring bearer.A reception was held at BANQ following the ceremony.The bride graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from East Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority, Beta Alpha Psi and Pi Delta Phi. She is employed as an accountant at Ascendent Engineering and Safety Solutions L.L.C., Johnson City. She is a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.The bridegroom graduated from Clinton High School and received a master of accountancy degree from East Tennessee State University, where he was president of National Residence Hall Honorary and Hall Council of Powell-Panhellenic. He is employed as sales execution coordinator at Holston Distributing Company, Johnson City.Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Johnson City.
