Thacker and Anderson

Julie Amanda Anderson and Michael Andrue Thacker were married Oct. 12, 2013 at Historic Ramsey House, Knoxville, Tenn. Minister John Fletcher officiated the marriage and unity sand ceremonies.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James (Blenda) Anderson of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Charles E. Farmer of Kingsport, the late Lois Slagle Farmer, and Gwen Anderson and the late Mack Anderson. Mrs. Thacker is a graduate of Sullivan North High School and the University of Tennessee. She is a Realtor/property manager for Tennessee Valley Realty Associates.

The bridegroom is the son of Robert M. and Diane Thacker of Chattanooga, Tenn., and the grandson of Robert V. Thacker of Livingston, Tenn., the late Laura S. Thacker, and the late Roy T. and Edith M. Padgett. Mr. Thacker is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga. He attended the University of Tennessee and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Thacker is employed by Terminix International.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride carried a bouquet of variegated green with her grandparents’ wedding bands. The bouquet was created by Brandy Sink of Brandysink Designs.

The bride’s attendants were her mother, who served as matron of honor; cousins Natalie Donaldson and Nikki Pirvu of Johnson City, and Tosha Banks of Kingsport. Lily Pirvu and Larissa Mullenix served as flower girls. Aunt Jan Sparrow served as guest book attendant.

The bridegroom’s attendants were his father Robert M. Thacker, who served as best man; and sons Michael G. Thacker of Union County; and Andrue T. and Nathanial J. Thacker of Knoxville.

Following the ceremony, the reception was dedicated by the parents on the grounds of Historic Ramsey House.
