Vavalides and Fleming announcement

Christen Marie Vavalides of Knoxville, and Colby Lewis Fleming of Kingsport, plan to be married at 5 p.m., Aug. 21, 2010, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Knoxville. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Vavalides of Knoxville. She graduated from Red Bank High School, Chattanooga, and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Tennessee with a double major in finance and enterprise management. She is enrolled in her third year of medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Deborah Rose-Goodman of Kingsport, and the late Richard Lynn Fleming, formerly of Clintwood, Va. He graduated from Powell Valley High School, Big Stone Gap, Va., and received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Emory & Henry College. He received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee. He is employed at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is currently studying for his CPA certification.
