Carter and Murray

Courtney Brooke Carter of Kingsport, and Andrew Scott Murray of Kingsport, plan to be married in an open-church ceremony at 2 p.m, Dec. 21, 2013, at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Todd and Beckie Carter of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Wayne and Wilma Eidson of Kingsport, Carol Carter of Kingsport, the late Mack Carter and the late Sue Carter. She graduated from Sullivan South High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, International Thespian Society and NECC — Student Navigator. She also graduated from East Tennessee State University, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She is employed by Greene County School System at Glenwood Elementary School and is a member of Sullivan Baptist Church.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Scott and Margaret Murray of Kingsport, and the grandson of Grover and Cora Murray of Kingsport, and the late Lester “Sam” and Verdia “Ruth” Miller, formerly of Kingsport. He graduated from Sullivan South High School, where he was a member of the football team, DECA and FCA. He attends ETSU. He is employed by Greene County School System at North Greene High School and is a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
