Hoover and Davis

Jennifer Wentworth Hoover of Kingsport, and James Clement Davis III of Marion, S.C., plan to be married Dec. 28, 2013, at First Broad Street United Methodist Church, Kingsport.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Bradley T. and Leigh Anne W. Hoover of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Ted and Charlotte Hoover of Kingsport, Myles W. Whitlock Jr. of Spartanburg, S.C., and the late Corrie M. Whitlock. She received with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Clemson University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and served as a Clemson University tour guide. She also graduated from Converse College with a master’s degree in gifted education. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher by Greenville County Schools, Greenville, S.C., and is a member of the Junior League of Greenville.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of James C. Davis II and Judy F. Davis of Marion, and the grandson of Virginia Freeman of Marion, the late Marion Freeman, and the late Wendell and Frances Davis, formerly of Marion. He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science and information technology and information systems security from Limestone College. He is employed as a financial analyst at Elliott Davis Inc., Greenville, and is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).
