Megan Elizabeth Coleman of Taylor, Mich., and Stephen M. Stuart of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Kingsport, were married Oct. 27, 2012, at The Inn at St. John’s, Plymouth, Mich. Father John List officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and Piper Coleman of Rockwood, Mich., and the granddaughter of the late Frank and Shirley Coleman, and the late Alasdair and Annie Macpherson, all formerly of Taylor, Mich. The bridegroom is the son of William “Bill” and Freida Stuart of Kingsport, and the grandson of Thomas and Nancy Stuart of Owensboro, Ky., and Wallace and Colleen Meade of Pound, Va.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Michelle Macpherson, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Stuart and Tammi Coleman, sisters-in-law of the bride and bridegroom; Stacy Underwood; Ashley Edge; Susanne Pettry; Lauren Petit; Jessica Reyna and Emily McGregor.
Matthew Stuart served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Frank Coleman and Joe Coleman, brothers of the bride; Brian Jackson; Luke Avery; Chris Zeitler; Kris Anderson; Heath Underwood and Patrick Shutt.
Readers were Patricia Tutsock and Heather Cameron, aunts of the bride, and Harriet Stuart, aunt of the bridegroom.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the Judea Room at The Inn at St. John’s.
The bride graduated from Father Gabriel Richard High School and attended Eastern Michigan University where she studied dance performance. She is employed as a professional dancer with the Lexington Ballet Company.
The bridegroom graduated from Sullivan Central High School and magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a degree in finance and marketing. He is employed with Lexmark International, where he is a business development manager.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Lexington.
