Barcomb and Strickland

Caroline Elizabeth Barcomb of Sarasota, Fla., now residing in Los Angeles, Calif., and Alec Douglas Strickland of Kingsport, Tenn., also residing in Los Angeles, plan to be married at 4:30 p.m., Nov. 16, 2013, at Longboat Key Club, Sarasota.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Renata Barcomb, and Scott and Alexandra Barcomb, all of Sarasota. She is the granddaughter of Harry and Gaynor Hawks of Oregon, Virginia Barcomb of Massachusetts, and Wayne and Susan Barcomb of Sarasota. She is employed as a model at Elite Modeling Agency, Los Angeles.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Dr. Doug and Denise Strickland of Kingsport, and the grandson of Charlsie Lyle, the late Bob Lyle, Bonnie and Clay Marrs, and Jack and Joy Strickland, all of Johnson City. He received a bachelor’s degree in music business from Full Sail University, Winter Park, Fla., and is employed as head of digital marketing at Silva Artist Management, Los Angeles. He is a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church.
