Steffen and Strange

Christine Gillis Steffen of Kingsport, Tenn., and Jonathan Cory Strange of Dandridge, Tenn., plan to be married at 6 p.m., Sept. 21, 2013 at Still Hallow Farms, Greeneville, Tenn.

The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Michele Steffen of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of the late Aaron and Christine Elmore, formerly of Hampton, Va.; and the late James and Hilda Steffen, formerly of Yagertown, Pa. She received a bachelor of science degree in food, nutrition and dietetics from Carson-Newman University, where she was a member of the Carson-Newman Dance Team. She is employed as a registered dietitian at Uplands Retirement Village in Pleasant Hill, Tenn.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Kimberly and Timothy McCoig of Dandridge, and Anthony Strange of Newport, Tenn. He is the grandson of Vonda Blackwell of Newport, the late Johnny Blackwell, and Charles Ray and Alta McCoig of Dandridge. He received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Carson-Newman University, where he was a member of the Carson-Newman Army ROTC. He is serving in the United States Army and holds the rank of second lieutenant.
