Stapleton and Lee

Chelsea Lieren-Carey Lee of Johnson City, and Benjamin Luke Stapleton of Kingsport, were married July 13, 2013, at Allandale Mansion. The Rev. Randall Stapleton officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Drs. Ernest and Debra Bentley of Johnson City, and David and Gina Lee of Big Stone Gap, Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Obie and Helen Ray and the late David and Janet Lee. The bridegroom is the son of Randall and Michelle Stapleton of Church Hill, and the grandson of the late Rev. and Mrs. Eugene Todd, the late James Stapleton, and Shirley Stapleton of Kingsport.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.

Julie Gentry was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Cara Noe, Terri Anne Funk, Jill Scott and Deana Minier. Flower girls were Arabella Barker and Emma Stapleton.

Alex Rogers served as best man. Groomsmen were Jon Stapleton, Jeff Goode, Dustin Nelson and Dustin Jackson. Ushers were Brad Gentry and Aaron Sturgill. Gabe Walker was ring bearer.

The bride graduated from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and the University of Tennessee. She is employed as a teacher by Johnson City Schools at Woodland Elementary School.

The bridegroom graduated from East Tennessee State University and is employed as supervisor of mortgage procedures at Citi Bank.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Johnson City.
