Rhoton 50th anniversary

J.D. and Hattie “Sue” (Hood) Rhoton of Church Hill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Pigeon Forge with their children.

A special dinner was held in their honor at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Knoxville.

J.D. and Sue were married May 29, 1963, in Weber City, Va., with the Rev. Wrightly Salling, now deceased, officiating. They are members of Greenvale Missionary Baptist Church, Church Hill.

They are the parents of Tony Rhoton of Church Hill, and Christy Mullins and son-in-law, Brian Mullins, of Church Hill.

J.D. is retired from K-VA-T Food Stores. Sue is retired from Pitney Bowes.
