Hannah Elizabeth Marcum of Gate City, Va., formerly of Kingsport, and Bradley Allen Blackwell of Kingsport, plan to be married at 5:30 p.m., Sept. 14, 2013, at First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gregory C. (Laura D.) Marcum of Gate City, formerly of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles B. (Betty Nelle) Duke of Kingsport, the late Charles B. “Boots” Duke, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nathaniel Marcum of Kingsport. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She will graduate with a doctor of pharmacy degree from East Tennessee State University’s Gatton College of Pharmacy in May 2014.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Blackwell of Kingsport, and the grandson of Mrs. Mary Blackwell of Kingsport, the late Dr. Lyle Blackwell, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chandler of Huntington, W.Va. He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and received a degree in advertising from the University of Tennessee in 2012. He is currently working as a full-time musician.
