Manley 90th birthday

James Manley celebrated his 90th birthday with a reception held in his honor June 29, 2013, at the Press Room, Kingsport.

The event was hosted by his family. It was a lovely event with 30 friends and family in attendance.

James, better known as Jim, was born June 27, 1923, in Fall Branch. He has been married to Lois “Sally” Baines Manley for 62 years, and they reside in Fall Branch.

They are the parents of Rick Manley and wife Paulette of Melbourne, Fla., and Susan Kiernan and husband Mike of Sulphur Springs, Tenn.
They are the grandparents of Bryan Manley of Orlando, Fla., and Heather Manley Williams and husband Christopher of Pearl, Miss. They are the great-grandparents of Finn Williams and Lochlan Williams of Pearl.

Jim is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in China, Burma and India.

He retired from Eastman Chemical Co. in 1983, after 40 years of service.
