Mrs. Juanita Elizabeth Edwards celebrated her 100th birthday on June 24, 2013.
Juanita was born June 24, 1913 to J.B. and Elsie King. She was married to Virgil W. Edwards in 1931.
She is the mother of James W. Edwards Sr. of Kingsport; Charles E. Edwards of Hoschton, Ga., and Betty Jo Bowman of Corryton, Tenn. She has 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is the epitome of a perfect Christian wife and mother, to be a homemaker and mother has been her main focus. She is a devoted mother and fantastic cook.
While the children were growing up, she was the church pianist, a substitute teacher, a seamstress, an entrepreneur making supplementary income baking cakes, cookies, biscuits, raising fryers, selling eggs and making assorted kinds of candy. She had an eye for what the public wanted and supplied quality products to fill the need.
After the children were gone from home, she managed a commercial kitchen. She never took her eye off her children and was always there for each of them in the good times and the bad times with love and support. The love for the Lord and her children is what keeps that beautiful smile radiating. She never meets a stranger, and everyone wants to adopt her for their mother.
Mom is a special one of a kind saint from Heaven to light up the hearts of her family and everyone who meets her.
